Official Invitation
Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the 15th International Conference on the Physics of Non-Ideal Plasmas — PNP 15 — to be held by the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on August, 31 – September, 4, 2015. The Conference continues an already traditional series of meetings that specifically focus on theoretical and experimental investigations in the field of non-ideal plasma physics. Started as a small topical workshop in Matzlow-Garwitz, Germany in 1980 and continued in the subsequent meetings in Wustrow (1982), Biesenthal (1984), Greifswald (1986), Wustrow (1988), Gosen (1991), Markgrafenheide (1993), Binz (1995), Rostock (1998) and Greifswald (2000), an international character of the event resulted in that the PNP-12 was first held outside Germany and hosted by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Valencia, Spain in 2003. At present the PNP conference is a triennial international event previously held in Darmstadt (Germany, 2006), Chernogolovka (Russia, 2009) and again Rostock (Germany, 2012).

Program
The scientific program will feature invited and topical talks as well as poster presentations on cutting-edge advances in the field of non-ideal plasma physics. The detailed list of the registered participants and the day-by-day program are already available on the official website of the Conference at http://pnp15.kz/conference/registered_participants/ and http://pnp15.kz/program/, respectively.
Please, note that the invited talk should last for 40 minutes and the topical talk should last for 20 minutes including questions and answers. The poster must be A0 paper size with the portrait page orientation (1189 mm in height and 841 mm in width).
Invited Speakers
We are glad to announce that the following invited speakers have confirmed their participation in the event: M. Bonitz, A. Davletov, V. Fortov, I. Iosilevskiy, B.M. Hegelich, R. Magyar, N. Nettelmann, O. Petrov, I. Tkachenko. Besides the honorable guests of the Conference are distinguished professors Werner Ebeling, Vladimir Fortov and Claude Deutsch.
Conference Language
The official language of the Conference is English.
Conference proceedings
It has been decided that the proceedings will be published after the conference in two issues of the Contributions to Plasma Physics journal. Normal submission and reviewing procedures will be imposed and the corresponding deadlines will be announced during the Conference.
Venue and accommodation
The conference will be held at the Best Western Plus Atakent Park Hotel located at the heart of the Apples City of Almaty which is a part of the largest exhibition center in Central Asia. For PNP-15 participants the single room occupancy will cost 70€ per day and the double room occupancy will cost 90€ per day. Some space is available at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hostel for the young scientists (free of charge for participants, will be supported by the LOC), which is within 15 minutes walking distance to the meeting venue.
The LOC plans to organize transfer of all participants from the airport to the conference venue, so, please be sure to provide the detailed information on your flight by sending an email to pnp15@physics.kz.
Social Events and Excursions
Social program and guided tours are planned for everyone interested. A tour of the city with visiting the famous Medeu-Shymbulak ski resort will be organized. Medeu skating rink is one of the main sightseeing and favorite places of Almaty. Medeu is located at a height of about 1 691 meters above the sea level and in 20 minutes drive from the center of Almaty. The location in the valley, surrounded by mountains and pine forest, charms everybody with its uniqueness. One can try to go up 842 stairs to the dam that protects the city from mudflow.

Registration and payment
The registration fee for ordinary participants is 250€. There are no fees for students and accompanying persons due to contributions of our sponsors. Accompanying persons are welcome. Above mentioned fees will cover all expenses including everyday 2 coffee breaks and lunch as well as the welcome reception, conference dinner, excursions and printed matters.
