Visas
Please note that the application for a Kazakhstan visa may take up to 2-3 weeks. Visa applications should be submitted to the respective Embassy/Consulate in a timely manner. For convenience, the participants from the states, which have no representative offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan, may obtain a visa in consular posts at the airports of Almaty.
No entry visa is required for nationals of the following countries and types of passports:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
The simplified procedure upon written request to the respective Embassy/Consulate and without an invitation and visa support of the MFA of RK is used for citizens of the following countries:

Citizens of countries that are not listed above in addition to the listed below documents should obtain a copy of the letter of invitation with a number of visa support made by Department of Consular Service of the MFA of the RK (please contact the local committee of the conference).
To obtain Kazakhstan visa usually following documents are required:
- Valid passport. The passport should still be valid for another 6 months from the last date of visa validity period;
- Visa application form;
- Two photographs (3,5 x 4,5 cm).

From 15 July 2014 to 15 July 2015 the government of Kazakhstan decided to introduce a visa-free regime for the citizens of the USA, Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Korea and Japan. Citizens of these ten countries can repeatedly enter, еxit and fly through the territory of Kazakhstan without visas up to 15 calendar days since crossing the state border.
